Before you ask
The questions most guests have before their first message on WhatsApp.
How do I book a stay?
Everything happens over WhatsApp — enquiry, date confirmation, and payment. Tap any WhatsApp button on the site, message us your dates and party size, and we take it from there. No forms, no email queues.
How do I pay?
Once your booking is confirmed over WhatsApp, we share a Razorpay Payment Link or UPI details directly in the chat. Payment is collected there, not on this website. Standard transaction fees apply to Razorpay; UPI is free.
How far is the camp from Jaisalmer city?
About 45 kilometres, roughly an hour by car. Transfers from the city or the railway station can be arranged in advance — just mention it when you message us.
Is the camp suitable for families with young children?
Yes. The camel safari, cultural evening, and campfire are all family-friendly. For very young children (under 3), let us know in advance so we can adjust arrangements — seating, meal timing, etc.
Is it safe for solo travellers?
Absolutely. The camp is staffed through the night, the tents lock, and the area is well-lit. Solo guests often find the campfire a natural, comfortable place to meet other visitors.
What is included in the price?
Every package includes a welcome on arrival, camel safari, the full cultural evening (live folk music and all five dance forms), Rajasthani dinner, overnight stay in a luxury tent, and breakfast. Add-ons like the fire show and DJ are available with certain packages. See the Packages page for full details.
Can I request specific cultural performances?
The lineup shifts night to night depending on which musicians and dancers are available, but we can often accommodate specific requests — especially for Kalbeliya — if you let us know in advance over WhatsApp.
What should I pack?
A warm layer for after sunset, closed shoes you don't mind getting sandy, sunscreen, and a phone charger. The tents have a proper bed, bathroom with hot water, and power. For the full list, read our packing guide on the Stories page.
Is there phone signal and Wi-Fi at the camp?
Phone signal is present but patchy at Khuri — enough for messaging, not always enough for streaming. There is no Wi-Fi at camp, which most guests treat as a feature, not a limitation.
What is the best time of year to visit?
September through March is the most comfortable window — pleasant days, cold nights, and clear skies for stargazing. December and January are the coldest and clearest. Avoid May and June unless you are comfortable with temperatures above 40 °C.
Can you arrange corporate offsites or private events?
Yes — group bookings, corporate offsites, pre-wedding shoots, and private celebrations can all be arranged. Message us on WhatsApp with your group size, dates, and requirements and we will put together a tailored proposal.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
The kitchen is vegetarian by default and can accommodate Jain requirements. If you have specific allergies or dietary needs, mention them when you book and we will adjust the menu.
How much does a desert camp in Jaisalmer cost?
Our per-night room tariffs currently range from ₹3,000 for an open camping tent to ₹7,000 for an air-conditioned private room, with Royal Swiss Tents in between — every rate includes the camel safari, cultural evening, dinner, and breakfast. Rates vary with season, so message us on WhatsApp with your dates for an exact quote.
Khuri or Sam Sand Dunes — which is better for a desert camp?
Sam has the tallest dunes and the biggest crowds — hundreds of camps, loudspeakers, and busy sunset points. Khuri, about 45 minutes southwest of Jaisalmer, is the quieter side of the same desert: fewer camps, emptier horizons, and darker skies for stargazing. Our camp is at Khuri deliberately — if you want the desert rather than a festival, this is the side to stay on.
