This is a separate experience from an overnight at the Khuri camp. You will not stay in the Swiss tents — instead, you overnight at a remote site chosen specifically for that night, away from any fixed camp or shared route.
No tent, no crowd, just the open sky
No fixed campsite, no shared sundowner point, no other groups nearby. We follow a strictly non-touristic route. The site for the night is chosen specifically for you, deep enough into the dunes that the horizon genuinely belongs to your group alone.
You sleep out in the open on bedding laid directly on the sand — no tent overhead — under a sky with nothing to compete with it. It is built entirely around that one hour before sleep and the hours after, when the stars are the only light left.
Away from every streetlight for miles
With no camp lighting and no neighbouring tents, the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye on a clear night. If stargazing is the reason you're considering this, timing it around a darker moon makes the biggest difference — tonight looks like this:
Privacy over amenities
This isn't a bigger or more luxurious version of the camp stay — it's a different trade entirely. You give up the fixed comforts of a built camp (the star-ceiling tents, the dining lounge) in exchange for genuine isolation: a site with no one else around it that night.
Food and a folk music setting are arranged for the evening the same way the camp's own cultural evening is — real Rajasthani cooking and musicians, not a scaled-down version — just without any other group sharing the fire with you.
